Utility crews restoring power in South Jersey

New Jersey is getting a break from the humidity as utility crews in the storm-ravaged southern part of the state work to restore electricity.

High temperatures today are expected in the upper 80s and low 90s.

But forecasters say it won’t be as humid as the weekend, where it felt like 100 degrees or more.

Atlantic City Electric says nearly 102,000 homes and businesses are without service. That’s down from about 206,000. Atlantic and Gloucester counties are hardest hit.

The utility says it could take until Friday to restore everyone.

Two boys and a fisherman died in the storms.
