U.S. secretaries of Labor and Education come to Philadelphia

The U.S. secretaries of Labor and Education will be in Philadelphia today for the first leg of their four-stop regional tour of community colleges.

Education Secretary Arne Duncan and Labor Secretary Hilda Solis will tour a job-training center for non-traditional students and then host a town hall forum at the Community College of Philadelphia, the Associated Press reports.

Following last fall’s White House Summit on Community Colleges, the meetings are meant to determine successful paths to college completion.
