A 20 year old University of Delaware student told police she was sexually assaulted around 7 p.m. Sunday while walking alone near the Laird Campus.

Newark Police say the woman said she was walking on Corbin Street near Wilson Road when a man approached her from behind, pushed her against a car, and sexually assaulted her. He then fled on foot.

Police say the suspect was wearing a flannel shirt and a beanie-type hat. He’s described as  having a medium build, between 6′ and 6’3″ tall.

They say anyone with additional information should call Detective James Skinner at 302-366-7100, ext. 3135.
