Two Delaware men arrested for robbing Dover cabbies

Delaware taxi drivers are likely breathing sighs of relief, following Tuesday’s arrests of two men charged with robbing two cabbies in Dover this week at gunpoint.

18-year-old Shakir Swain and 21-year-old Eric Dixon, both of Cheswold, face robbery, weapons and conspiracy charges linked to the two taxi cab robberies this week and a mugging on Willis Road April 8th.

Dover Police say they noticed the suspects because one matched the description from the latest cab robbery early Tuesday morning. Police say they also found a gun matching the victims’ descriptions.

Currently, both men remain behind bars on more than $200-thousand secured bonds.
