Tony Williams campaign launches its on-air offensive
WHYY’s Dave Davies sent NinetyNine word that mayoral candidate Tony Williams’ campaign has produced its first ad of the campaign.
His 30-second “Family” spot is the first by a candidate in the field, but not the first overall, what with labor-funded Super PAC Build a Better Pa.’s spot for Jim Kenney.
Olivia Nutter appears in neither, so it remains to be seen how/if these will impact the May 19 primaries.
While an anonymous Williams campaign strategist told the Inquirer to expect a “significant” ad buy signalling the start of an on-air push through the election, Citified is reporting that “the Williams campaign has written a $21,611 check to 6ABC, but I see no records of ad purchases at other stations.”
