Graphic footage of West Oak Lane triple shooting released [video]

Three men were shot inside a Chinese restaurant in the 6600 block of N. 18th St. on Tuesday night.

Police responding to the West Oak Lane scene just after 10:30 p.m. found evidence of a shooting, but no victims.

They determined that the victims — 19-, 21- and 22-year old men — were transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center by private vehicles.

Officer Christine O’Brien, a department spokeswoman, said police questioned them at the hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.

Shooting details

The victims told police a man pulled out a black handgun and tried to get into the store. When the three victims pushed the door closed, the gunman started firing shots through it, O’Brien said.

One man was shot in the right arm and right leg, the second was hit in the left leg and the third was wounded in the right arm.

The suspect is reported to have fled the scene northbound on 18th Street from 66th Avenue.

He is described as a tall, black male who was wearing a dark colored hoodie and dark gloves, which may possibly have been baseball batting gloves.

No arrests had been made as of 10 a.m. Wednesday.
