Theatre Alliances announced Barrymore nominations
Fall means many things, and it Philadelphia, it also means the Barrymore Awards. The annual awards from the Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia will be announced next month, but the nominees were released today.
Wilma Theater’s In the Next Room, or the vibrator play has done well for itself, collecting 12 nominations, including heavies like Outstanding Overall Production of a Play and Outstanding Ensemble in a Play.
A handful of people and productions have been nominated for each of the nearly 30 categories that honor the work that goes into productions on the stage and behind it.
Winners will be announced Oct. 3.
