Teens snatch elderly woman’s purse outside Germantown supermarket [Video]
Philadelphia Police have released video of two unknown teenagers stealing the purse of a 74-year-old woman in the parking lot of the Pathmark located at Chelten and Wayne avenues on Tuesday morning.
The video shows the two, who are wearing what could be school-uniform khaki pants, following the woman throught the lot.
They split up, walking toward the store on opposite sides of a row before one approaches and yanks the purse from the elderly woman’s shoulder at 11:20 a.m.
The unknown teens, who were seen hanging out in and around the store hours earlier, then run west on Wayne Avenue.
Both are described as being between 16 and 18 years old. In addition to the khakis, one was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt under a dark jacket and carrying a dark backpack while the other was wearing a dark pull-over sweater with brown on the shoulders.
