Sussex Outdoors Summit aims to draw kids and families outdoors
Youngsters, parents and individuals are encouraged to enjoy southern Delaware’s great outdoors today.
It’s a free admission day at Trap Pond State Park, where the Sussex Outdoors Summit will begin at 1 p.m. Nemours Health and Prevention Services as well as numerous other health-and-fitness advocates and organizations will discuss their goal of encouraging outdoor activity. Governor Markell will also attend and announce a Delaware blueprint for trails, an “interconnected network of paths and trails that support non-motorized travel and recreation opportunities throughout the state.” Sussex County government and Delaware State Parks are among the sponsors.
