Sussex County school proud of its blue ribbon

The Indian River School District is celebrating the national Blue Ribbon designation given to the Long Neck elementary school in Millsboro.

The award is given to schools whose student excel reguardless of their backgrounds.  The schools also have to have at least 40% of their students from disadvantage backgrounds.

The Nellie Hughes Stokes Elementary school in Dover and West Park Place Elementary school in the Christina School District were also given the award designation.  The schools will receive their award at a ceremony in November.
