Student arrested in reported rape of fellow freshman at Germantown High

NewsWorks content partner NBC10 is reporting that a Germantown High School freshman was arrested Tuesday in connection with the reported rape of another student inside the school last Friday.

According to NBC10, “The alleged incident happened during first period around 7:45 — about 15 minutes after classes begin — in a stairwell that leads to the boiler room in the basement, school district spokesman Fernando Gallard [said]. The area wasn’t monitored by security and should have been, the school district told NBC10.”

The station reported that the students knew one another and neither has returned to school since.
