St. Patty’s DUI arrests up from last year in Delaware
If Delaware’s police log is any evidence, the more fun you have on St. Patty’s Day, the more unlucky you are. St. Patty’s DUI arrests went up in the state this year.
The Associated Press reports 59 people were arrested for driving under the influence on March 12, 17, 18 and 19 — the big party days. That number is up from last year’s 45, and is the result of four sobriety checkpoints and more than 200 saturation patrols conducted by 25 local and state agencies.
