Southern Delaware state park hosts Animal Winter Olympics

Kids are invited to take part in the Animal Winter Olympics today at the Seaside Nature Center at Cape Henlopen State Park.

The event is designed for six-to-nine year-olds.  The Animal Olympics will test their skills and knowledge about nature through hands-on activities, nature exploration and crafts.  The cost is six-dollars per-child.  Children should be prepared and dressed for the winter weather.  It takes place today from 10 a.m. until noon.  For more information, call 302-645-6852.  The Seaside Nature Center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Its many exhibits and displays include five 1,000-gallon tanks with local fish species, a touch tank and exhibits that explain the different habitats found within the park.
