Southern Delaware sewer customers will see savings in their sewer bills

Sussex County’s refinancing of construction debt will translate into savings for sewer customers on their annual and quarterly bills.

Earlier this year Sussex County government obtained more favorable interest rates on $61-million in construction debt.  The savings are now being passed along to ratepayers.  Savings range from $3.00 to $73.00 depending on a number of factors, including location and size of the property.  Debt varies among the 18 sewer districts.  A total of 56,500 accounts are affected.  You can find out more at sussexcountyde.gov/dept/engineering/sw/
