Southern Delaware hospitals recognized in national study
Several downstate hospitals have won recognition as Distinguished Hospitals for Clinical Excellence.
Beebe Medical Center in Lewes as well as Bayhealth, the operators of Milford Memorial Hospital and Kent General Hospital, are in the top five-percent of U.S. Hospitals according to HealthGrades. HealthGrades is an independent company that ranks and markets hospitals. Nearly five-thousand hospitals were evaluated for the 2012 Hospital Quality and Clinical Excellence study. Hospitals get their grades by being evaluated across 26 medical diagnoses and procedures that the organization rates.
