South Jersey drug probe nets $3.6M in heroin
Authorities say a two-month investigation in southern New Jersey led to the seizure of 182,000 bags of heroin worth more than $3.6 million.
Police in Cape May and Cumberland counties fanned out with search warrants on Wednesday and made 12 arrests.
Authorities charged two men with leading a drug trafficking network. Others were charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess a controlled dangerous substance.
Police recovered approximately $200,000 and one handgun.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and searches are continuing.
