Some Philly messages fall short of city’s accomplishments

Philadelphia has a lot of unofficial slogans and a whole lot of Twitter accounts. The city’s got a social media presence for just about every initiative — PhillyStat and IPledgePhilly being two of the latests.

We’ve also got a PhillyRising hashtag, allowing folks on Twitter to follow a discussion thread about the city’s move to push for community development.

Patrick Kerkstra wonders aloud today if any of the program’s social media presence is working, or if we could use something a little more optimistic than “PhillyRising.”
