Penn Future: Show support for swift action on climate change legislation

As the Senate debates historic climate and energy legislation, Sen. Specter remains a key vote in moving forward. Email him now to urge your support for swift action on climate change legislation.

In June, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the American Clean Energy and Security Act. The Senate is now taking up similar legislation introduced by Senators Kerry and Boxer, called the Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act. If passed, this legislation would dramatically cut carbon emissions and launch the nation towards a new clean energy economy.

Before this legislation can be considered by the full Senate, it must be voted out of the Senate Environment and Public Works committee. Sen. Specter sits on this committee and is a crucial vote in moving the bill forward.

Email Sen. Specter now and urge him to support this important legislation.

History lies in your hands- act now!
