Sesame Street helps entertain soldiers families

Some furry friends from Sesame Street will pay a visit to Dover Air Force Base this afternoon to entertain the troops and their families.

The Sesame Street performers will put on a pair of shows as part of the “Sesame Street/USO Experience for Military Families” at the base’s Youth Center.  Also performing will be a new character Katie, a military child.  In the show, Katie learns to deal with her fears about relocating due to her family’s recent deployment.  Over the past four years, the military tour has performed for 248,000 troops and military families in 433 shows.
