SEPTA Broad Street Line service delayed due to fire activity

    Update: A report from the Daily News says the incident is the result of a fire that started in a student’s backpack on the subway platform. No further details have been released, and calls to SEPTA and the Philadelphia Fire Department have not yet been returned.

     

    6:42 p.m. SEPTA has reported that Broad Street Line trains are resuming service, however, northbound and southbound trains are not stopping at Girard Station. The Broad Ridge Spur still isn’t operating. NewsWorks contributor Matt Petrillo has been tweeting the details.
