SEPTA announces tentative deal

SEPTA and the Transport Workers Union Local 234 have reached tentative two-year agreement.

The settlement of this contract is due to the hard work of veteran, professional negotiators representing both the Authority and TWU Local 234, said SEPTA spokeswoman, Jerri Williams in a statement released to the press.

About 5,000 members of the Transport Workers Union Local 234, which represents bus drivers, subway and trolley operators and mechanics, have been without a contract since the spring.
