New federal funding for improvements at the Sussex County Airport in Georgetown.
The money comes from the Aviation Jobs Bill recently passed in Congress which increases funding for the Airport Improvement Program by 16 percent. Senator Tom Carper (D-Delaware) will visit the Sussex County Airport today to talk about how the increased funding will help complete upgrades to the runway extension project in Georgetown.
