Santa checks in at the Delaware beaches

Winter no longer means that Delaware beach towns go dormant during the winter.  One community had a huge turnout for a special guest this weekend.

Rehoboth Beach officially kicked off its Holiday Season Friday November 29th with a Christmas Lighting at the Bandstand on the boardwalk, with Santa Claus throwing the switch as over 3000 visitors were on hand to watch. The event sponsored by the Main Street Organization has been held for 16 years. Santa Claus also opened his house for kids to come in and talk with him about what they want for Christmas as his house will be open Daily until December 24th.

Tuesday, Rehoboth presents its Christmas parade sponsored by Rehoboth BeachVolunteer fire company.  It kicks off at 6:30.
