Roxtoberfest seeks to connect community and business [gallery]

Visitors to this year’s Roxtoberfest in the Roxborough were treated to great weather, live music and good food.

Celebrated for the second year in the heart of Roxborough’s commercial district — Ridge Avenue between Green Lane and Leverington Avenue — this festival is becoming a new tradition for the community to enjoy.

Diverse businesses lined up on Ridge Avenue and featured a range of products from everything from local businesses to community outreach programs.

James Calamia, the executive director of Roxborough Development Corporation, says the purpose of Roxtoberfest is to build a community event and to tie the business community with the neighborhood.
