Roxborough Robber arrested, confesses to four crimes

The FBI confirmed this morning the Roxborough Robber has been arrested.

Frank Roccia was arrested Friday, after being linked to the bank robberies at 4020 City Ave., 6052 Ridge Ave., 6918 Ridge Ave. and 7133 Ridge Ave. Fingerprints and witness accounts from those crime scenes linked Roccia to the robberies, and he confessed upon his arrest last week.

Roccia was spotted at the Citizens Bank branch at 8345 Ridge Ave., last Friday, according to the FBI affidavit, and employees called the authorities to report suspicious activity. The FBI and Philadelphia Police arrested Roccia at Lare Road and Port Royal Avenue, and Roccia later identified himself in surveillance footage.

Roccia went on a week-long robbery spree between Aug. 29 and Sept. 7.
