“Atypical” activity at Dover AFB this week

Unexpected sights and sounds may be coming from Dover Air Force Base over the next few days, but base officials say residents should not be alarmed.

It’s all part of a training exercise that will run through Friday.  Some of the abnormalities include “loud voice announcements,” as well as smoke or other activity.  The training exercise will also force the base’s north gate to be closed until further notice.  The base’s other gates may be closed at least temporarily at various times over the next three days.
