Public hearing tonight in Dover on Delaware State Senate redistricting plan

The Delaware State Senate holds a hearing for the public tonight on a proposed redistricting plan.

Legislative district maps are redrawn every ten years in response to the US Census. The Democratic leadership in the Senate released its proposed plan two weeks ago.  It would relocate the 6th district in New Castle County to Sussex County to reflect population growth in the southern part of the state.

The hearing takes place tonight at 7:00 in the Senate chambers of Legislative Hall in Dover.
