Wilmington Police have officially identified Amy Joyner-Francis as the victim of yesterday’s deadly violence at Howard High.

While they’ve confirmed Joyner-Francis as the victim, Wilmington Police aren’t saying much more about what led to the 16-year-old student’s death Thursday morning. A statement updating the investigation said simply that it was “active and ongoing.”

The department’s Criminal Investigations Division and Homicide and Violent Crime Division is working incooperation with Delaware Attorney General Matt Denn’s Office and the state’s Division of Forensic Science.

There’s been no word of any charges pending against anyone involved in the incident.
