Police seek suspect after West Oak Lane bar fight

Police are seeking a suspect in an aggravated assault that took place in West Oak Lane at 10:10 p.m. on Oct. 1. 

A 23-year-old female was inside Whispers Bar located at 7610 Ogontz Ave. when an unknown female approached her from behind and began punching her in the head and body. 

Other people in the bar were trying to break up the fight whent he suspect threw a pint glass that hit the complainant causing a laceration about her right eye. 

The suspect fled the bar in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a black female, 35 to 40 years-of-age, 5’10”-6’0″, stocky build with a dark complextion and short hair. She was last seen wearing a green shirt, dark colored jeans and large hoop ear rings. 

Surveillance video from the night captures a person of interest who is believed to be an associate of the suspect and attempts to calm her down.
