Police investigate vehicle break-ins, arsons in northern Delaware

New Castle County police are hoping for help from the public in solving a series of vehicle break-ins.  Some of the vehicles were set on fire.

The incidents occurred during the overnight hours between December 23rd and December 24th in Townsend’s Stonefield community.  Some residents had items stolen from their vehicles after they were broken in to.  County detectives are investigating the thefts, while the State Fire Marshal’s Office is probing the arsons.  Anyone aware of possible suspects, suspicious activity or suspicious vehicles in the area during that time is asked to call New Castle County Police at 302-395-8110, text 847411 (TIP411) and start the message with NCCPD, or call Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333.  Information may also be submitted online at www.tipsubmit.
