Police ID woman found in Wilmington trash can

The investigation into a woman found dead in a trash can in Wilmington has been ruled a homicide.
Wilmington Police identified the victim as Miprecious Hoskins, 21, of Wilmington. An autopsy found she died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.
The investigation began when officers were called to the 800 block of E. 22nd Street around 3:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, in reference to a possible suspicious death.
Sgt. Andrea Janvier said when officers arrived, they found Hoskins’ body in a trash can located near a home at the corner of North Locust and E. 22nd Streets.
Upon further investigation, members of the Criminal Investigations Division got a warrant to search the home in reference to a person of interest in the investigation.
