Police arrest man days after Wilmington mom is killed

Wilmington police make an arrest in the shooting that claimed the life of a young mother on Monday.

By midday Wednesday, just days after 25 year old Latrice Blackshear was shot to death, 21 year old Tyler Carter of New Castle was arrested.

Blackshear along with her 4 year old daughter and a 51 year old woman was shot at a home in the in the 400 block of W. 7th Street. The toddler and older woman are reportedly fine.

Investigators singled Carter out within 24 hours of the crime, and located the suspect in Newark at  Oak Tree Apartments. Carter now faces a slew of charges including 1st degree murder, robbery, assault and possession of a firearm.
