Philadelphia schools to dismiss at noon due to hot weather
The school district of Philadelphia has announced that all schools will dismiss early at noon Tuesday due to excessive heat expected.
The district said schools with a graduation ceremony scheduled for Tuesday can remain open for the ceremonies.
Parents are asked to contact schools directly to confirm graduation schedules.
The National Weather Service is forecasting hot and humid weather Tuesday with highs around 90 and some thunderstorms along with gusty winds and heavy rainfall.
