Pedestrian struck in front of Del Tech’s Wilmington campus dies

A 60-year-old woman who was struck by a vehicle in Wilmington on Tuesday has died.

According to Wilmington police, the woman was crossing N. Orange Street between Delaware Technical Community College and the parking lot, when she was hit.

Police received a call around 11:20 a.m. of a woman lying in the street with a head injury. The woman, who has not yet been identified, was transferred to Christiana Hospital in serious condition, where she later died.

Wilmington Police are continuing to investigate and no charges have been filed.
