PATCO train service to pope event ends around 4 p.m.

The opportunity to take a PATCO train from New Jersey to see the pope in Philadelphia is winding down.

The last westbound train to Philadelphia from the Woodcrest station will depart at 4 p.m., followed by trains from Lindenwold at 4:08, Broadway at 4:14 and Ferry Avenue at 4:15.

At that point, all service will be suspended until 5:30 p.m. when trains will only run eastbound toward New Jersey, until 3:40 a.m. Monday.

The pope will celebrate an outdoor Mass on Benjamin Franklin Parkway at 4 p.m. Sunday. It’s expected to be attended by more than a million people.
