Parts of Delaware eligible for SBA “Sandy” loans

Some homeowners and businesses in southern Delaware may be eligible for low-interest loans to help with repairs from Hurricane Sandy.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) have made loans available to residents in Sussex County which borders Worcester County, Maryland, the primary Maryland county most severely affected by last October’s super storm.

According to SBA Delaware, the loans can be used for physical damage repairs or to compensate for economic injury.

Loan applications for damages are due March 4, 2013 while economic injury loan applications must be submitted by the October 2, 2013. Forms can be filled out on SBA’s website.
