A 15-year-old girl died after she was struck by an SUV while walking to a school bus in suburban Philadelphia.

Police say the 10th grader was hit around 6 a.m. Wednesday in Bensalem after the SUV ran a stop sign that was extended from the side of the stopped bus.

The driver stopped and was being questioned by police.

Bensalem Boulevard at Bridgewater Road remained closed as police investigated.
