Pa. man dead after fatal crash in Delaware

A Pennsylvania man has died after a fatal crash in Delaware.

The Delaware State Police says Robert A. Bloomer of East Earl, Pennsylvania died Friday at the scene of the crash in Bear. Delaware State Police say the crash happened around 4:15 p.m. on State Route 1 when the driver of a Lincoln Navigator lost control of his car and hit the 51-year-old Bloomer, who was driving a commercial truck.

Delaware State Police say the truck overturned and struck a guardrail and that Bloomer, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle. A passenger in the truck was taken to a hospital, treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.

Delaware State Police say an investigation is ongoing.
