Officials: NJ man pulled from burning car has died

A man who was pulled from a burning car after it crashed on a southern New Jersey roadway has died from his injuries.

Officials tell The Press of Atlantic City that 26-year-old Mullica Township resident Randy Jordan recently died at a hospital, but further details were not disclosed.

Jordan had suffered severe burns in the Oct. 11 crash on Richards Avenue. He initially was trapped inside the vehicle, but police and other emergency responders were able to free him a short time later.

Jordan, the father of an 8-year-old son, was traveling alone in the car. Authorities have said no other vehilces were involved in the crash.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
