O’Donnell defensive on morning television

Christine O’Donnell appeared on Good Morning America and on the Today Show this morning, firing back against reports of an FBI probe for improper campaign fund spending.

“I’m confident I will be cleared of any charges,” she said.

“The movement to keep the politicians accountable must continue,” she added, but contended that the investigation against her is “phony.”

“They’re trying to discredit me,” said O’Donnell.

The failed Delaware Republican Senate candidate raised over $7 million dollars for her campaign against Chris Coons.

A person with knowledge of the investigation says federal authorities have opened a criminal probe of O’Donnell to determine if she used any of that money to pay for personal expenses.
