October in Delaware is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Delaware’s been tracking rising domestic violence numbers recently. And in an effort to raise awareness, the First State’s governor has declared that October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

WDEL.com reports that the Governor and members of the state’s Domestic Violence Coordinating Council gathered in Wilmington to recognize the importance of the cause.

According to the article, the rise in domestic violence reports may show an increase in events, but it may also show an increase of people who are seeking help.
