New water slide at Dorney Park to open in 2014
Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom is getting a new addition next year: “a six-water slide complex towering nearly seven stories.”
The slide, called the Snake Pit, will include six different body and tube slides and a nearly vertical drop through looks and s-curves.Each part of the Snake Pit is named for a different snake. The Constrictor “spirals riders through an enclosed chute with four intense 360-degree loops across 449 feet of slide” and the Twin Boa Blasters will take riders through “a series of high speed drops and banks.”
The slide is scheduled to open Spring 2014 and will bring the number of water slides in Wildwater Kingdom to 26.
