New report on the nonprofit sector in southeastern Pennsylvania

The Economy League is pleased to announce the release of a new report, “It Matters: The Nonprofit Sector in Southeastern Pennsylvania,” commissioned by The Philadelphia Foundation. As a Public Charity community foundation managing more than $350 million in assets, the Foundation has long understood nonprofits’ importance in direct community services and advocacy. Yet the full impact of the nonprofit sector in southeastern Pennsylvania is not well understood.

The report attempts to fill this knowledge gap by demonstrating the sector’s critical contribution to the region’s economy, not solely as provider of services but also as consumer of goods and services, as employer, and as trustee of assets. Visit our website for a summary of the key findings.
