New chairman sworn in at Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce

From the Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce:

Kent C. Lufkin, president and chief executive officer of TF Financial Corp. and 3rd Fed Bank, was sworn in last week by Philadelphia Common Pleas Court Judge Christopher R. Wogan as the new chairman of the Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.

Lufkin succeeds Christina M. Fitz-Patrick, president and chief executive officer of Nazareth Hospital. She will serve the next year as consulting vice chairperson. Lufkin will serve a two-year term. He had previously served on the board as vice president of the Business Network Committee.

Wogan administered the oath of office to Lufkin during a meeting of the GNPCC Board of Directors at Nazareth Hospital.

“I am proud and honored to follow Tina Fitz-Patrick as chair,”  Lufkin said upon assuming the gavel. “Tina’s tireless devotion and dedication to this organization will be a tough act to follow, but with lots of hard work from the staff and the board members, this organization will continue to be a leader in the fight for small businesses in this region.

“It’s an especially challenging time for all chambers of commerce as we seek to maintain our current membership, as well as attract new members,” Lufkin said. But frankly, I am excited by the challenges ahead and look forward to rolling up my sleeves and visiting with our members.”
