Mt. Airy dentist charged with illegally selling Percocet and Oxycodone

Mt. Airy dentist Chandrakant Parekh has been arrested on charges of illegally selling Percocet and Oxycodone. The Philadelphia Daily News report that he allegedly sold at least 14 prescriptions for Oxycodone and Percocet for between $30 and $40 each from his clinic on Germantown Avenue near Sharpnack Street.

He is is being held in the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility on $500,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 29 for a preliminary hearing.
