Mt. Airy Art Garage prepares for gift-giving season with annual holiday market
Sculptors, painters, woodworkers, leather crafters, jewelers and other artists filled the Mt. Airy Art Garage gallery with unique items for two weekends this month.
The arts center opened its doors to offer the community a diverse selection of fine arts and handicrafts while enjoying holiday festivities.
Even though it is the nonprofit’s last holiday celebration under its current roof, founders Linda Slodki and Arleen Olshan, who have to relocate by August, are full of holiday vision and joy for the future.
“This holiday market celebrates everything we’ve accomplished up until now. It’s all about artist opportunities and artist celebration. We feel that it’s them and the community who supports us, backs us, that understands what we are and who we are,” said Slodki.
