Most puppies seized during dogfighting raids have already been adopted

As WHYY’s Lizz Fiedler prepares a follow-up story on this week’s string of raids on dogfighting operations in Philadelphia, she brings us this update from the PSPCA:

PSPCA spokeswoman Wendy Marano says all but one or two of the pit bull puppies rescued during PSPCA raids this week have already been adopted.  She expects before the end of the weekend, the rest of them will have found new homes. The rest of the puppies, along with many other animals up for adoption, are at PSPCA headquarters at 350 E Erie Ave.
