Morris Arboretum celebrates the holiday with annual garden railway display [photos]

Morris Arboretum’s annual holiday attraction — replete with model trains and sparkling lights — has become a family favorite for many in the area.

The elaborate display consists of a quarter-mile of track featuring loops and tunnels, bridges (including one you can walk under), cable cars and of course, bustling model trains running continuously through the tracks.

The over 50 Philadelphia-area landmarks spread around the village are all made from natural materials such as pinecones, bark, twigs, hollow logs and moss.

The Holiday Garden Railway at Morris Arboretum is open daily 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Jan 4. The arboretum is closed Dec. 24, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
