More than 250 Delawareans have not claimed tax refunds

Nearly half-a-million dollars in unclaimed tax refunds are available for claiming in Delaware.

269 Delawareans did not get their refunds because of mailing address errors, according to the office of Senator Tom Carper.  The average unclaimed refund is $1,839.  The Internal Revenue Service has set up a website, “Where’s My Refund,” where taxpayers may determine if they are due a refund and how to claim it.  Taxpayers may also call the IRS with any questions at 1-800-829-1954.
