Governor Markell signs a proclamation officially naming February as African American History Month in the First State. Markell will sign the proclamation at the Delaware Public Archives which is now home to a new display, “Houses of Worship: The African American Experience in Delaware.”  The display presents photos from the 1940’s, plus other images and information about historic figures in the state’s African American religious community.
